With a personal practice of lifetime learning, Ken has devoted himself to an attitude of always being curious. He loves to serve, and with a 17-year career as a professor at VIU he has a unique combination of business, teaching and community experience. A modest man you would have to dig deep to know he is honored to have a high school in Ghana named after him.
As a Nanaimo REALTOR® Ken Hammer brings this business, teaching and community background to your home buying and selling experience. Ken looks forward to serving you!
These last few years have seen plenty of real estate activity and several personal adventures. The real estate market has been more balanced between sellers and buyers than in previous years and continues to evolve with new policies and guidelines. Prices and inventory have been holding steady.
On a personal level, Ken was able to fit in several international trips over the last few years (El Camino de Santigo in Spain, Rotary Friendship Exchange in Turkey and a Cultural Trip to Merida Mexico). Ken continues to support work in Ghana with various partners (e.g. Rotary Clubs, Universities, Schools, NGO’s).
Locally, Ken still enjoys exploring Vancouver Island with a recent kayaking trip from Tofino to Hot Springs Cover. He has been fortunate to collaborate with various community impact organizations including the Nanaimo Child Development Centre, Nanaimo Art Gallery, Vancouver Island University and others. He enjoys connecting individuals and organizations through reading circles.
Ken is looking forward to another strong year in real estate, especially serving our current and future clients and friends. Please let us know how we can support you!
In every community, there are individuals who go above and beyond, making significant contributions that leave a lasting impact. Ken Hammer is such an individual, whose dedication to serving others is not only one of his values, it has also earned him the prestigious 2023 REALTORS® Care Award.
Throughout the year, many REALTORS® in Nanaimo are actively involved in various charitable endeavors, volunteering their time and resources to support causes close to their hearts. The REALTORS® Care Award is a symbol of recognition for those who demonstrate exceptional commitment to making a positive difference in their communities – Ken Hammer exemplifies this spirit of service.
